I didn't really know what to expect from this book. I wanted to review it since I have 4 children that will some day be teens and since I work with the youth group at our church. I found it to be really very humorous. Chad Eastham does an excellent job at connecting with youth on their level, sometimes even at his own expense. His warm and friendly personality is evident in his writing style. It is very evident that he is concerned with the trials and temptations that youth face today. In their language this author addresses concerns of this generation in terms they can understand and appreciate. Though there is nothing new under the sun (according to scripture) it is without dispute that our children are facing temptations at earlier ages to stray from God’s word. This is an excellent resource for parents and those who work with teens. It would be a great book for you and your teen to read together and discuss. This way they also understand that you want to help them during the tumultuous teen years. Together you can navigate their concerns by reading what scripture says about these topics. I am not disappointed in this book at all and hope to see more from this author.
Thank you Thomas Nelson/booksneeze for this review copy.
