Yet again Kay Arthur opens the Word and applies it for those in the tumultuous dark valleys of life. This book is subtitled "Healing and Hope for Life's Desperate Moments" and that is precisely what it is. Each of us will traverse dark deep valleys in life, we will each face desperate heartbreaking moments when our world is rocked and turned upside down. In these moments the enemy seems to speak the loudest and call out many unfounded lies. Yet in these very moments God is also calling for us to look toward him. These are the moments that define our faith - that test our faith and shape us spiritually. This book is a great book for those walking in these valleys or for those who have experienced a hurt or devastating experience that seems too big to overcome. It is great for those who are on their knees crying out "Why!?".
Thank you for the review copy Waterbrook/Multnomah.
