Yummy.....Yummy...mmmm....mmmm...Good cookin'! I am loving this cookbook! Although I do wish that it had some photos, I have found it well layed out and easy to use. The recipes are made with common ingredients that most of us have in our cupboards. I have already added Salsa, Cream Cheese Danish (the easiest recipe for such things that I have found). I also enjoyed the Vegetarian Chile Rellenos - I am always trying to find great Mexican recipes that don't take a long time to make. With 5 children long amounts of time preparing lunches and dinners is not an option for me. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is simple enough for a child to make - this was easily turned into a home school lesson in math (measurement), home economics (cooking), hospitality (setting a table), and science (turning a solid - cheese into a liquid - the sauce).... and as a home school mom I like this type of thing best! Another great recipe for children is the Sour Cream cookies - they will love the simplicity of the making and mixing and relish the smooth sweetness of the cookies. Slow Cooker Pork Chops is an excellent answer to the Sunday lunch rush - just throw them in the slow cooker and leave it for the lunch.
Thank you Revell for this review copy.
