The Best Friend, Melody Carlson
This is the second in the series of Life at Kingston High and follows Lishia Vance the best friend who in the first novel was in opposition to the new girl in the town. Now we have the chance to follow this girl through a new phase in her life.
Lishia is about to learn what true friendship is and what the fake thing is. As she is deceived into believing a lie of the enemy (that little voice that sometimes whispers that we are insignificant) that she no longer has a best friend. She goes from being popular to being an outcast. As she faces these things Lishia responds the way so many teens do - withdraw from church and God. She soon finds herself in the race of popularity doing whatever it takes to get back on top. So why when she achieves everything she thought she wanted doesn't she feel good about herself?
A great story for teens. Melody Carlson is by far one of my favorites! This series promises to be great.
