What Must I Do To Be Saved?, James Anderson

James Anderson has written a book composed of the entire New Testament verses dealing with the issue of salvation. It is evident that this book was written with the intent to allow scripture to speak loudly for itself. It is not a book that pushes any specific denominational standing but rather that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone. I was impressed with the unusual layout - which has no chapter breaks. It was written with the intent of being used as a devotional. However, I think it could just as easily be adapted for use in a small group setting. This would allow those in a church struggling with the issue of salvation to walk through scripture in a text setting with a leader and to explore these scriptures in depth more completely. Anderson does well at explaining scripture without attaching to it any personal opinion. I found the book to be theologically sound, offering a great resources to individuals and churches as well. I will be using it with our church. Special thanks to the author for compiling this informative book and for offering it to me free of charge as a review copy in exchange for an unbiased review.
