The Five Money Personalities, Scott and Bethany Palmer

This book is intended for couples to read together over a period of 90 days. The thought is that the couple will work on each area and learn more about their own money personalities and their spouses'. The thought would be that you would learn to work with the personality of your spouse and that both would make concessions and compromises to meet a common goal. Although I believe that the Palmer's did try to convey practical tips and advice I felt that the book was an advertisement for their website. This was disappointing in the fact that when I purchase a book I expect that the information advertised on the book is actually in the book. I do not want to spend my time going from a book to a website to get additional information. I also do not think that it is practical for couples to sit side by side at a computer and try to read additional information. That being said this book is filled with information on each personality though I failed to see where it taught how each personality would best work the other personalities. If you are looking for a book that is easy to read and filled with advice and you don’t mind having to also visit a website – then this is a book that you would enjoy. No book is a fix all, but rather a resource to make changes and gain new insight. This book most certainly gives you an insight to the five money personalities and will cause you to exam and discover your own personality. I received this book as a review copy in exchange for an honest review of the material. I would recommend this book for couples who are interested in learning a little about money personalities.
