City of Tranquil Light, Bo Caldwell

This was the first book that I have read by Bo Caldwell, I now want to read the one published prior to this book. This book is nothing short of inspiring and beautiful. Based on the life of her grandparents who were missionaries to China you are pulled into a beautiful story of surrender to God and captivated by the love of two people with a common mission in Christ. A story of what happens when a husband and wife share the same convictions in Christ, the same love and desire to pursue His will in all things. The evidence that God takes the ordinary person to work extraordinary things in his kingdom is a theme woven throughout this book. It is written from the view point of the husband and wife indiviually. Becuase of this you get two perspectives of the grace of God. I think this is one of my favorite books. Thank you Bo Caldwell for your using your talents to write this book.
